  • **A student is defined as a holder of a student identification card from an accredited engineering institution. A copy of your student identification number card must be supplied at the time of registration. Without this copy, the full registration fee will be charged.

  • Welcome Reception is not included in Student Registration.

Student Members

Registration fees apply to current student members of Engineers Australia. Student members are required to provide their student membership number.

Student Non Members

Undergraduate students studying an accredited or recognised Australian course in engineering can apply for free student membership. To save up to $300.00 on the registration fee, please click here to join.

Important Passport and Visa Information

All visitors to Australia MUST have a valid VISA to travel to and enter Australia. Welcome letters can be requested by emailing the Convention Managers wec2019@arinex.com.au, following completion of Convention registration. Note – It is strongly recommended that Australian visa applications are lodged at least two months prior to your departure, from your point of origin.

Procedure

Registration confirmation

Your completed registration and successful payment will be acknowledged by email with confirmation of your requirements according to your registration form. Your registration will only be processed or confirmed if payment does accompany your form.

Name badge

Each member of the Convention will receive a name badge upon registration. The badge will be your official pass, and must be clearly visible at all times to obtain entry to all sessions, and to social functions. The Convention Managers expect appropriate behaviour from attendees, and reserve the right to revoke the badge and privileges of anyone behaving in an inappropriate manner.

Certificate of attendance

You will receive a certificate of attendance via email after the completion of the Convention.

Groups

Group Registration

Please contact the Convention Managers should you wish to register and/or accommodate a group of five or more individuals by emailing wec2019@arinex.com.au.

Private Touring, Private Functions, Hospitality Arrangements

Should you have any specialised group requirements for private touring, private function, transportation or hospitality services other than those organised for the official program, please contact the Convention Managers who would be pleased to assist with arrangements.

It is requested that you advise the Convention Managers of any private/corporate functions that might be planned outside of the official program. Please email wec2019@engineersaustralia.org.au.

Payment Options

Credit Card

Registration is now open. Please visit our secure online registration form to register and book your accommodation in ‘real time’.  Please note, all online registrations require immediate payment by credit card.

Accepted cards: MasterCard, Visa and American Express. All transactions by credit card will appear on your statement as payment to ‘Conference by Arinex’.

Acknowledgements

Your registration and payment will be acknowledged via email with confirmation of your requirements according to your registration form. Your registration will not be processed if payment

Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellations must be notified in writing to the Convention Managers by emailing wec2019@arinex.com.au.

Registration Fees

Cancellations before 20 September 2019 will incur an AUD$150.00 cancellation fee.
Cancellations before 21 September 2019 – 20 October 2019 will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
Cancellations on or after 20 October 2019 will receive no refund.

Accommodation:

A cancellation charge of one night’s accommodation rate will apply for cancelled bookings after Sunday, 3 November 2019 or if you do not arrive on the date you are booked to check in.  

All cancellations and changes to your reservation must be made in writing to the Convention Managers.

In the event of a non-arrival, your room will be held until the following morning (10:00 hours) and one night’s deposit will be charged to your credit card by the hotel as a cancellation charge. In the event of a non-arrival when full pre-payment is made for the entire stay, your room will be held for each night booked and you will not be entitled to any refund.

Social: Payments are non-refundable at 20 October 2019.
Tours: Payments are non-refundable at 20 October 2019.

Disclaimer

The program is correct at the time of publishing. The organisers reserve the right to delete, modify or alter items within the program or to delete, modify or alter any aspect of the Convention timetabling and delivery at their sole discretion and without notice. Neither the host organisation(s) nor the Convention Managers will accept any liability for any loss or inconvenience caused to any party consequent to such changes.

The Convention Managers reserve the right to use any recordings whether audio or video and/or any photographs taken at any stage during the Convention for promotional, advertising or reporting of the Convention and/or its content at their sole discretion.

The Convention Managers comply with these legislations and are committed to protect the right of the individual to privacy of their information.

Arinex will not sell your personal information to third parties. If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please email us and we will promptly correct the information. You may also withdraw your consent for use of your information by advice to us in writing.

By registering for this event, you also consent to us providing your name and contact details (including email address) to third parties related to the event which may include sponsors, contracted service providers, event speakers, organisers, hosts or facilitators, for the purposes of administering the event and to inform you of future events, benefits or other opportunities. You retain the right to withdraw consent to use your personal data at any time. Please be aware that a withdrawal of consent before the start of this event may incur a full registration cancellation and an administration cancellation fee may be required.

You retain the right to request that we forget or ‘anonymise’ your personal data. Upon request we will retain any financial, tax or event attendance records for reporting reasons, but will remove all personal data from our database, leaving an ‘anonymised’ record for reporting reasons.

Convention APP Attendee Visibility

Why are we asking you to Opt-In or Opt-Out of Attendee App Visibility?

Many conventions will offer a mobile phone app for delegates to interact and access information during the Convention. During the course of this Convention, you can consent to have your personal details shared with other attendees. This includes your photo, name, organisation, position, state and country.

We are committed to protecting the privacy of all personal data you provide us for this event registration, and this includes your visibility in the Attendee App. You can change your visibility at any time directly within the Attendee App. If you choose to withdraw your consent, you are still able to use the attendee app however your details will not be shown in the attendee search, and you will not be able to contribute to the Event Stream.
